The poll gives Brooks a 7-point lead in the PA-07 Democratic primary


In a poll sponsored by the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC: Bob Brookspresident of the Pennsylvania Professional Firefighters, gained a seven-point lead over his closest competitor in the race for the Democratic nomination in the 7th Congressional District.

The PAC’s mission is to elect forceful, progressive and divisive leaders to Congress Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC vision of America’s future.

Brooks, who has never run for political office, had 24 percent support in a poll of 400 likely voters in the Lehigh Valley. Former Northampton County Executive Lamont McClure was second with 17%. Energy engineer Carol Obando-Derstine and former Justice Department prosecutor Ryan Crosswell This was followed by 12 and 9 percent, respectively.

It was noted that over a third of respondents (36%) said they had not decided on any candidate. This includes 144 of the 400 likely voters surveyed.

“This poll confirms what we hear behind every door and union hall in PA-07: Voters are ready for a fighter who has spent his career defending working families,” Brooks said. “We are building real momentum and intend to continue to earn the trust of every voter in this district.”

He continued to brag about his support from Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), former Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigiegand three members of Congress from the Commonwealth of Nations – Chris Deluzio (D-17), Madeleine Dean (D-04) i Chrissy Houlahan (D-06).

Brooks’ campaign has now purchased $45,500 worth of television ads on four Philadelphia broadcast stations (WPVI, WCAU, KYW, WTXF) with the ad featuring Shapiro.

The poll’s margin of error is +/- 4.9 percentage points.
