DCCC adds Ehasz and Stelson to Red to Blue campaign.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has added two Pennsylvania candidates to its Red on Blue campaign in an attempt to flip its House majority.

Ashley Ehasz AND Janelle Stelson have been included in campaign providing candidates with organizational and fundraising support to assist them continue to campaign in districts Democrats hope to flip.

Ehasz is a challenge Representative Brian Fitzpatrick on PA-01 in Bucks and Montgomery counties. She’s an Army veteran and wants to codify Roe v. Wade and supports H.R. 3755, the Women’s Health Protection Act. Ehasz fully supports the Second Amendment and the right of citizens to safely carry guns for self-defense, recreation and hunting, but supports universal background checks. He also supports policies to combat climate change and turn the threat into jobs and investment across the state.

“Ashley Ehasz has always fought for our fundamental freedoms and was willing to sacrifice her life to defend our democracy,” said DCCC President Rep. Suzan DelBene (D-Wash.). “At a time when anti-abortion extremists like Brian Fitpatrick bend the knee to Donald Trump in pushing for a national abortion ban, Pennsylvanians deserve a leader like Ashley who will codify Roe v. Wade and protect a woman’s right to choose.”

“Being a part of the DCCC Red to Blue program shows that the path to flipping the House, defending democracy and protecting our reproductive freedom is through Pennsylvania First,” Ehasz said. “In Congress, I will fight for our freedom and right to choose, just as I did in the army.”

Stelson stands face to face Rep. Scott Perry on PA-10 in Cumberland, Dauphin and York counties. As a former television journalist, she also wants to take the protections afforded by Roe and make it the law of the land again. Stelson supports raising the minimum wage in Pennsylvania and prioritizing children’s education, making sure teachers and others in the education system receive the pay and respect they deserve.

“Janelle Stelson has dedicated her career to telling people’s stories,” DelBene said. “He knows that what matters to the people of central Pennsylvania is not what out-of-touch extremists like Scott Perry care about. Perry focuses on banning in vitro fertilization, passing a national abortion ban, and subverting our democracy. He has always put his dangerous extremism ahead of his constituents. I can’t wait for Janelle to win this race so that Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District can have real representation again.”

“I have been listening to and advocating for Central Pennsylvanians for decades, and it’s time to have a member of Congress who represents all of us, not just the fringes of one party,” Stelson said. “I am proud to be added to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s Red on Blue program in my campaign to defeat career politician Scott Perry in November and restore commonsense leadership to central Pennsylvania.
