WASHINGTON — Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has agreed to the vice presidential debate on Oct. 1, hosted by CBS News.
IN statementCBS News reported that it has contacted both presidential campaigns, but it is unclear whether Republican vice presidential candidate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, will participate in the debate in New York.
Donald Trump’s campaign did not respond to States Newsroom’s request for comment.
“See you October 1st, JD,” Walz wrote on Xresponding to CBS.
CBS News has offered both campaigns four dates for the vice presidential debate — September 17, September 24, October 1 and October 8.
Trump and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris are scheduled for the presidential debate September 10, hosted by ABC News.
