Harrisburg, PA – February 26, 2025 – Yesterday evening, the American Chamber of Representatives undertook a budget resolution, which supports the limitation of critical funds at Medicaid and Medicare to adapt $ 880 billion.
By adding the requests of other Pennsylwanians, the leader of the democratic senate Jay Costa (D-Allegheny) and the chairman of the Senate democratic means Vincent Hughes (D-D-philadelphia/montgomery) will publish the following statement:
“Last night, Republicans in Washington adopted a budget that will cause catastrophic Medicaid cuts so that they could reduce taxes for billionaires. This should be blurred for every legislator who represents the inhabitants of Pennsylvania, but ten Republicans from Pa voted “yes”.
“We should improve access to healthcare without taking it from seniors and sensitive Americans who rely on Medicaid on life -saving treatment.
“For weeks, our offices were flooded with voters who are scared and confused, wondering if it was one congress vote from losing access to health needs. Now it is clear that the Republicans will do nothing to protect health care for Pennsylvania.
“There is no excuse for MEDICID limitation to pay for a reduction in taxes for millionaires and billionaires. PA Congress Republicans should be ashamed of their decision to turn away from voters. “
