Shapiro: ‘Trump Is Fascinated By Me’ After Being Called ‘Highly Overrated Jewish Governor’ of Pennsylvania

One thing we know about the former president Donald Trump – when he feels personally attacked, he fights back.

However, it was scarce for him to face an opponent who could attack as well as he could.

Explore Pennsylvania Josh Shapiro.

The first-term governor delivered a six-minute speech in Chicago on Wednesday night, emphasizing his motto of “true freedom” and criticizing Trump.

“Donald Trump — a man with no safeguards — wants to take away our rights and freedoms,” Shapiro said. “And listen, while he covers himself with a blanket of freedom, what he’s offering is not freedom at all.”

“It is not freedom to tell our children what books they can read. It is not freedom to tell women what they can do with their bodies. Listen to me: it is certainly not freedom to say you can go vote, but he chooses the winner. That is not freedom.”

“But you know what, Democrats, we are the party of real freedom. Exactly. Real freedom that comes when a child has a great public school with an amazing teacher because we believe in their future. Real freedom that comes when we invest in the police and the community so that a child can walk to and from school and come home to their mom safely.

“True freedom comes when a woman can join a union, marry whom she loves, raise a family on her own terms, breathe neat air and drink neat water, worship God as she chooses, and live a purposeful life where she is respected for who she is.

“True freedom comes when you can look at the President and know that this is a nation where anything is possible. That is true freedom and that is what we are fighting for.”

Trump wasted no time in his response.

Shapiro used the opportunity to answer a question about his thoughts on Trump’s post on Truth Social.
