Shapiro, Pennsylvania Democrats Introduce ‘Rise Up Pennsylvania’ Initiative.

The Pennsylvania Democratic Party is receiving tremendous support from its leader – Governor Josh Shapiro.

The Governor is leading the effort to fund and rebuild the Pennsylvania Democratic Party and is committing more than $3.3 million to the organization and the initiative titled “Rise Up Pennsylvania.”

“Rise Up Pennsylvania” is a coordinated campaign which he hopes will serve as the centerpiece of Democrats’ organizing efforts to win votes up and down. To date, the initiative has opened 27 offices across the commonwealth, including in all key congressional districts, staffed by nearly 100 full-time volunteer lead organizers.

The initiative aims to reach low-propensity voters who rarely hear or watch campaigns during the election cycle, which includes specific efforts to organize and mobilize the African American, Latinx and AAPI communities.

In the note With Larry Hailsham Jr.executive director of PA Dems, wrote: “The Governor’s leadership and our party’s close coordination and partnership with campaigns and organizations across the commonwealth are critical to the success of Rise Up Pennsylvania and give Democrats a chance to win everywhere in November.

“As we look ahead to the November general election, Republicans across the commonwealth have placed their loyalty to a chaotic, corrupt and cost-inflating program over the needs of Pennsylvanians – and they will be held accountable for it.”

While national Democrats are targeting four Congressional races in swing districts in Bucks County (PA-01), Lehigh Valley (PA-07), NEPA (PA-08) and the Capital Region (PA-10), state Democrats are also focused on increasing their single-member majority in the House of Representatives, as well as flipping the Pennsylvania Senate and giving the party a trifecta for the first time in 33 years.

“We are building a Pennsylvania Democratic Party that is ready to meet this challenge,” the chairman said Eugene DePasquale on social media. “We are talking to voters across Pennsylvania on an unprecedented scale and we stand ready to deliver victories on every ballot in November.”

According to a recent Quinnipiac University poll, Shapiro has a 13-point lead over the Republican challenger Stacy Garrity as he runs for a second term. If he can cross the finish line with a larger lead, combined with the assists in the Democratic victories detailed above, he will cement his growing reputation and provide momentum for an expected 2028 White House bid.

“If Governor Shapiro can comfortably spend a November evening voting no… that will be very strong evidence,” he said Larry Ceislerdirector of public affairs based in Philadelphia. “If you look at other people who are being talked about potentially running for president, no one is really in a state like Pennsylvania and doesn’t have as many competitive seats.”

Pennsylvania Republicans were unimpressed with these actions.

“I’m glad Shapiro is sharing the tainted millions he received from Jeffrey Epstein close colleague, Reid HoffmanAND George Soros with other Pennsylvania Democrats,” said a spokesman for the Pennsylvania Republican Party James Markley. “That had to be what he was doing instead of planning to represent Pennsylvania at the Great American State Fair or pass the budget on time.

“Every day it becomes more and more obvious that Shapiro doesn’t care about the people of Pennsylvania. From spending taxpayer dollars to settle sexual harassment lawsuits to using taxpayer dollars to upgrade his private home, Josh Shapiro has only ever cared about himself.”
