In 1992, the democratic strategist James Carville coined a saying that still rings true today.
“It’s the economy, stupid!”
The often quoted phrase is, “It’s the economy, stupid,” and it was one of the three messages for Bill Clinton campaign to focus on.
Thirty-two years later, this could just as easily be rephrased for the Harris-Trump campaigns as, “It’s Pennsylvania, stupid.”
With seven days to go before the presidential debate at the National Convention Center in Philadelphia and two weeks before early voting begins in the commonwealth, both campaigns are sending staff and time to Pennsylvania.
