On the final Sunday before the election, the DNC will hang a “Vote for Kamala” banner over the Eagles game in Philadelphia

The Democratic National Committee will fly an aerial banner over the Eagles game at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday to reach voters and football fans in the largest city in a key battleground state. The flyover is scheduled to start just after noon and last until the start of the match.

The banner reads: “Go Birds! Defeat Trump! Vote for Kamala!” and is the DNC’s newest flyover over a Pennsylvania football game.

“Democrats are not playing ball on the goal line — we are reaching every voter we can in the final hours before Election Day,” DNC deputy communications director Abhi Rahman said in a statement. “Pennsylvania is a critical blue wall state that puts us on the path to victory, and Philadelphia is a key driver of Democratic success in the state. The DNC knows that Eagles fans and residents across the city will show up in large numbers to once again reject Donald Trump and his Project 2025 agenda.”

Both parties used sporting events to reach voters in swing states. Last weekend, former President Donald Trump’s campaign aired a television ad covering the third quarter of the Eagles game titled “Never give up” focused on Trump’s economic performance and several familiar themes from his campaign. Other than footage of Trump being shot at a July rally in Butler and swinging his fist at the crowd saying “fight, fight, fight,” there wasn’t much that was specific to Pennsylvania in the two-minute spot.

Harris’ campaign also ran television ads during last weekend’s Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers games. One titled “Philly vs. Trump” appended Trump recordings saying, “Bad things are happening in Philadelphia” during a 2020 debate. The ad that aired during Monday’s Steelers game was titled “Yinzer” which stars a man named Chris who describes himself as a die-hard Steelers fan. “Donald Trump doesn’t care about working people at all. He’s a bit of a rich kid too, that’s not me,” Chris says in the ad.

Democrats used billboards and airplane flyovers at sporting events in Pennsylvania to mock Trump before various appearances in Pennsylvania and other swing states; when he attended a recent Steelers game in Pittsburgh, the Democratic National Committee put up a billboard across from Acrisure Stadium criticizing Trump for his economic performance.
