Vice President Kamala Harris and her vice presidential candidate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, will begin a bus tour in Pittsburgh on Sunday, the day before the Democratic National Convention begins, and will make several stops in western Pennsylvania.
The tour, which the campaign is billing as “on the road to Chicago,” will include community outreach and visits to volunteers at campaign events and retail stores. They will be joined by Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz, making it the first time all four have campaigned together.
Harris first appeared with Walz in Philadelphia last week and prioritized Pennsylvania, which Democrats see as a key swing state for winning the presidential election.
Sunday will be her eighth visit to the state this year and 18th since becoming vice president.
She was last in Pittsburgh in February, where she highlighted President Joe Biden’s administration efforts to improve access to neat water.
