Fetterman is doing everything in his power to dispel rumors of a party switch

“It won’t happen. And even if I wanted to do that, it’s a rocket sled to Palookaville to try to transfer. I would be a pretty bad Republican.”

With these words to Semafor, Dream. John Fetterman did everything in his power to dispel rumors that the former lieutenant governor of the Commonwealth would consider switching parties from Democrats to Republicans.

In recent days, Fetterman raised eyebrows among his party by going to a meeting at Mar-a-Lago President Donald Trumpand his comments on various political issues, including immigration and support for Israel, which have further fueled discussions about his policy positions within the Democratic Party.

“I’m not just a Democratic senator — I’m a senator for all Pennsylvanians,” Fetterman wrote on Twitter two weeks ago. “My job is to find common ground and deliver results for everyone. And because no one is my guardian, I will meet with anyone to ensure victories, including President Trump.”

On Monday night, a New Jersey lawmaker added fuel to the fire Jamel Holley.

The senior senator’s answer was really spot on.

“This is amateur shit.

“If they think, ‘Oh, this will be like…’ (Joe) Manchina or (Christmas) Cinema play,’ that’s just not true and it’s not going to happen,” Fetterman said, referring to former senators from West Virginia and Arizona, respectively, who left the Democratic Party but have not spoken to Republicans.

Republicans currently have a 53-47 seat advantage in the U.S. Senate, where Democrats they control 45 seats along with the two independents who debate them – Bernie Sanders from Vermont and Angus Król from Maine.

In a fundraising email, Fetterman wrote that… “Even though Donald Trump is officially back in the White House, I am not backing down from fighting for what is right. Here are my non-negotiables:

1️⃣ The relationship lifestyle must continue
2️⃣ Leave LGBTQ+ people alone
3️⃣ The government’s job is to make your life easier, not to take away your rights

“I will work with Trump wherever I can to ensure PA wins, but I will *strongly* fight if his administration tries to take away our rights and freedoms.

And no matter who is in the White House, I will never turn my back on the people who need my vote. It’s a promise.
