Donald Trump’s schedule includes rallies in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin; Kamala Harris campaigns in Georgia

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign returns to the trail this week, while former President Donald Trump’s campaign is focusing on key battleground states: Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Harris and her vice presidential candidate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, have been focusing on Georgia since Wednesday, with a two-day bus tour of the southern part of the state. The tour, Associated Press reportswill end with a rally in Savannah on Thursday, but further details have not yet been publicly announced on Wednesday early afternoon.

The Georgia trip is a rescheduled visit from a previously planned visit that was canceled due to the effects of Tropical Storm Debby earlier this month. It will be Harris’ seventh trip to Georgia this year.

While Harris and Walz are in Georgia, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will campaign on Harris’ behalf in other parts of the country. Emhoff focused his efforts in New York earlier this week, but he will head west starting Thursday, with appearances in Grand Rapids, Mich., and Ketchum, Idaho. On Friday, Emhoff will speak at campaign events in Aspen, Colo., and San Francisco.

Harris’ campaign will once again turn its attention to Pennsylvania next week when she and President Joe Biden hold a campaign event in Pittsburgh on Monday. Harris is also scheduled to appear in Detroit that day.

Meanwhile, the Trump campaign is continuing to focus on Pennsylvania this week with a pair of events, starting with vice presidential candidate Sen. J.D. Vance (R., Ohio), who was scheduled to appear at an event Wednesday in Erie before heading to De Pere, Wisconsin, later that day.

Meanwhile, Trump will hold rally in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Thursday. The event, to be held at the La Crosse Center, will also feature former Democratic Party Rep. Tulsi Gabbard — who recently supported Trump’s candidacy for president – How guest moderator at a scheduled town hall meeting.

Trump will travel to Pennsylvania on Friday to Johnstown Rally at 1st Summit Arena. The event is scheduled to open to the public at 12:30 p.m.

Trump’s rallies follow the filing of a modern indictment against him over his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. The indictment filed Tuesday narrows the charges in trace of the Supreme Court opinion last month, which granted former presidents broad immunity. In a statement posted on social media, Trump called the modern indictment “an attempt to resurrect a ‘dead’ witch hunt.”

Harris and Trump are scheduled to arrive in Philadelphia next month for the presidential debate at the National Constitution Center on September 10.
