Where are the absentee ballots in PA?

With just over a week until Pennsylvanians are registered to vote in the November 5 general election, more than 1.6 million people have requested a no-excuse absentee ballot to cast their ballot in this critically critical election.

Although the registration deadline is next Monday, October 21, voters can still request an absentee ballot seven days before the election.

With over 1.6 million claims and 67 counties, we wanted to know where the claims were coming from and what the refund rate had been so far.

Nearly a quarter of all mail applications were returned to county election offices. Four counties – Forest (59.1%), Wyoming (55.2%), Elk (52.7%) and Lycoming (51.9%) reported more than 50% of their absentee ballots returned.

The data referenced comes from the Pennsylvania Department of State and is complete as of October 11 at 8:00 a.m.
