Upper Darby City Council approved the budget for 2025 over six weeks after December 31.
The Council voted on Thursday from 7 to 3 to approve the budget of $ 97.8 million, which will finance the government and the town’s services until the end of the year. Voting took place in connection with two Republicans and an independent vote No.
The council managed by the Democrat was not able to transfer the budget after the deelaware County judge set off into the up-to-date tax regulation of the city just before the thanksgiving, which would add an additional $ 15 million to the approved budget.

The budget was approved in a relatively tiny discussion, but Brown, a democrat, said that he was proud of the ability of his administration on trading after a court decision of the November.
“We adapted and delivered a realistic budget for 2025.” – he said.
The budget faced some members of society who oppose the income tax earned and the minority of council members. Councilor Laura Wentz, an unrelated member of the council who left the Democratic Party after election, said that she was afraid that the city was excessive.
