“This is not good and is not normal,” says Shapiro about a shooting at a school in Minnesota

Speaking at a party in Canonsburg on Thursday, Governor Josh Shapiro He answered the tragic shooting at the school in Minneapolis, saying that Pennsylvanians and all Americans should take such events as normal.

“This is not good and it does not have to be like that in the United States of America,” said the governor. “And we should not accept it as normally. We have a lot to do to make sure that mental health has been resolved. That the pistols do not get into the hands of people who should not have them, that we value life and that we do not settle our differences, collecting weapons.

Two children aged eight and 10 were killed during the shooting, while an additional 17 others were injured. The shooter took his own life when the authorities closed.

“No community is resistant to it,” Shapiro continued. “This happens in rural communities, urban communities, suburban communities, communities led by democrats and communities run by Republicans. Nobody resistant to it and time has stopped.

“What preserving is not only the slaughter we see in our schools, but the lack of spine some leaders in this community, in this country, accepting it as normal. This is not right, and this is not normal, and we stand out as a nation, unfortunately, as a place where it happens. This does not happen in other nations around the world. This does not have to stop.”

Shapiro said he was grateful to House State for “transferring numerous measures that would lend a hand reduce violence in our communities.

“I hope that the Senate soon raises these bills. We have a lot more work to ensure the safety of our children.”

The governor said that both children and parents should not be afraid that they can be shot at school.

“I say this not only as your governor, but I say it as a four -person father. This is not normal and it doesn’t have to be like that.”

Shapiro also commented on the state budget deadlock, saying that she thinks that both sides are very close.

“Both sides now know what they have to do to end and conclude a contract,” he said. “We are now at a point where both sides have to make difficult choices. Take the Senate and representatives to Harrisburg to vote on it.”
