The ad includes footage of Trump being shot at during a July rally in Butler and then swinging his fist at the crowd, saying “fight, fight, fight.” But beyond that, there’s little specific to Pennsylvania in the two-minute spot, which includes excerpts from speeches from this summer’s Republican National Convention praising the former president and the voice of Trump himself.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign also includes a television ad during the Eagles game titled “Philly vs. Trump” which includes Trump recordings saying, “Bad things are happening in Philadelphia” during a 2020 debate. “They don’t like us, we don’t care,” the voiceover states. “And when you fight us, we defend ourselves. From 1776 to 4 and 26, so go ahead and say what you want, Donald. We’re voting soon. And when it comes to freedom, Philly is undefeated.
Harris’ second campaign ad will be shown during Monday’s Pittsburgh Steelers game, titled “Yinzer” with a man named Chris who describes himself as a die-hard Steelers fan. “Donald Trump doesn’t care about working people at all. He’s a bit of a luxurious kid too, he’s not me,” Chris says. “The little boy with the silver spoon, Donald Trump. What is the contact with me anyway? The guy literally lives in a country club. Do I look like a country club guy?
In addition to trying to reach Pennsylvania football fans, Harris’ campaign is trying to reach players on Sunday afternoon, when Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, will face US representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) in the Madden NFL match on: Live broadcast on Twitch.
