This year, a member of the City Council of Jimmy Harrita interacted with accounts in social media from the profile, which he also used to distribute the update of local policy and the Philadelphia government.
On Monday, Harrita admitted that he served an account of threads on Instagram, which from January to March sent answers to accounts publishing photos of scantily dressed women. Harrita made a private social media account after contacting Inquirer.
The profile photo of the account is a photo of Harrita and a member of councilor Isaiah Thomas, raising his fists in the air at the trade union rally. Harrita said he created an account to follow the posts from Governor Pennsylvania Josh Shapiro, and then began to publish his own updates and get involved in the posts of other users.
Before it became private, all original posts from Harrita threads concerned council or political events, such as photos from information conferences and a leaflet for collecting money for his campaign.
“We call 59th Street outside Overbrook High School Will Smith Way !!” Harrita recently published a photo showing him and other members of the council standing with an actor born in western Philadelphia at a street party.
But almost all public answers sent by his account to other users were miniature answers to posts containing provoking women’s photos.
In the case of many answers, Harrita simply sent greetings. For example, at the end of December, the user of Chubbyygirlstacyy published suggestive photos of a woman with suggestive news.
Harrita replied at the beginning of January: “Hi”.
Later in January Eva.fax published: “Can I write to you on Insta?” With a photo of a woman in a bikini, and Harrita replied: “Yes.”
None of the suggestive posts was specifically directed to Harrit and probably appeared in his channel based on the content of the thread content. But a member of the council said on Monday that he thought they were from voters trying to contact him.
“I thought people were getting to me, and I replied:” Hi “,” Hi “because they still said that they were trying to catch me,” said Harrita. “Then I realized that this is a kind of fraud – women just try to get followers.”
This justification, however, does not explain other answers from the Harrit account. When Eva.fax in March published a photo with the signature “Can you describe me in one word?” Harrita replied: “Smoking.”
And when NaryGhtykatenastas published a photo of the back of a woman with the question “too big or perfect? Or honest,” said Harrita, “perfect”.
Harrita said he didn’t remember to publish these answers, but admitted that he had to send them.
“At some point I am a guy, do you know what I am saying?” He said. “I don’t answer anyone. I’m married. I don’t feel like another headache. … I’m sorry for a misunderstanding.”
Harrita sent some suggestive answers during working hours, according to time stamps, but it seems that none was sent during the meeting of the council.
One of the more colorful members of the Council, Harrita won his place in special elections in 2022 and was elected for a full four -year term in 2023. Democrat living in Kensington, represents the city of attractiveness, and has close links with the party’s leadership, especially Senator Sharif Street, who is chaired by the Democratic Democratic Party and is the son of the former Philadelphia.
Harrita, who is recovering and had brushes with the law earlier in his career, was open to his chessboard and an unusual path to the public office, which, as he said, made him a believer in a second chance.

It seems that enthusiasm has expanded to his social media activities.
In January, Eva_kokoy published a photo of a woman in a bikini on the beach with the message “I am sure that nobody cares, but for 287 days I was sober.”
Harrita replied: “Come back, it works if you work!”
