PA-10: Stelson outperforms Perry by 3 to 1

If financial resources are any indication of public support… and many experts believe they are… then watch out Janelle Stelson in PA-10.

The former television journalist outperformed his opponent Rep. Scott Perry (R-10) with a three-to-one advantage in the third quarter, meaning the six-year incumbent earned $2.8 million, up to $853,000.

Stelson, who spent $2.6 million in the last three months, has $1.374 million in his account compared to Perry’s $716,000.

Nearly $2.3 million, or 92 percent, of her contributions came from individuals, and just over $200,000 from political action committees, including $7,500 from the Freedom Fall Blue Wave Fund and $5,000 from A Woman’s Place PAC, American Crystal Sugar Company, AmeriPAC, Beyond Thoughts and Prayers PAC, Black Economic Alliance PAC, Blue Hen Federal PAC, California Leadership United For Victory PAC, Carpenters Legislative Improvement Committee, Defend The Vote, Demand Justice PAC, House Majority PAC, Liuna PAC, National Postal Supervisors Association PAC, Future PAC, UA Union Plumbers and Pipefitters Vote! “Central Pennsylvanians are tired of career politicians who only care about sowing chaos and dysfunction,” said a spokesman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). Aidan Johnson. “Scott Perry had 12 years to improve the lives of his constituents, but instead he focused on banning abortion and cutting hard-earned benefits for seniors. This is further proof that voters are ready for change.”

For Perry, who spent more than $925,000 last quarter, 91 percent of his contributions came from individuals and nearly $75,000 came from other political committees, including $5,000 in gifts from American Revival PAC, Associated Builders and Contractors PAC, Chesapeake Freedom PAC, Community Bancshares of Mississippi PAC, CPAC Action PAC, Majority Choosing Making Effective Republicans PAC, and National Ready-Made Concrete Association PAC.

Perry also received $5,000 in donations Kingsley Blasco Jr.CEO of Kingsley Blasco Insurance of Newville, Pennsylvania and Thomas Colbert Jr. Community Bancshares of Mississippi.

The race is expected to be one of the most closely watched in the country as Perry previously served as chairman of the House Freedom Caucus and currently serves on the House Intelligence Committee. Democrats see it as an opportunity to flip a key seat in their bid to regain the majority in the House of Representatives.

AND (*3*)recent Susquehanna Polling revealed Stelson has a 48-39% lead in the capital region, which includes Cumberland, Dauphin and York counties. The margin of error in the survey of 300 likely voters in the 10th Congressional District was five percent.
