Friday is shaping up to be a relatively serene day for the campaign trail, as Vice President Kamala Harris returns to Washington after the Democratic National Convention and former President Donald Trump heads to the Southwest.
Harris’ return to the White House will come after she formally accepts the Democratic nomination at the DNC, which she is scheduled to do Thursday evening. She and her vice presidential running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, have been sticking close to Chicago all week for the convention.
Harris-Walz tickets have also organized a number of other events across the country to support their campaign. On Thursday, the campaign plans to hold at least 150 events in Pennsylvania alone to watch Harris’ DNC acceptance speech.
Meanwhile, Trump will travel to Las Vegas on Friday morning to a campaign event focusing on the non-taxation of employee tipsAfter this performance, he is expected to head to Glendale, Arizona for rally at Desert Diamond Arenawhere he is scheduled to speak at around 4:00 p.m.
Trump’s Friday remarks follow scheduled speeches he and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R., Ohio), on Thursday that will focus on immigration and border security. Trump was scheduled to deliver Thursday appear in Cochise County, Arizona.where he will visit the southern border of the USA, while Vance to Speak on Immigration in Valdosta, Georgia.
Neither Harris nor Trump’s campaign announced any additional events as of Thursday afternoon.
