James Malone sworn as a senator of the state of PA

Former mayor of East St. Petersburg James Malone He was officially sworn in as a member of the Pennsylvania Senate at the beginning of the Monday session.

Malone (D-Lancaster) won a special election in the 36th Senators’ district over the Republican Josh ParsonsChairman of the Lancaster County Commissioners. Replaces Ryan Aumementwho resigned to become a state director for US Senator Dave McCormick.

Malone is the first democrat representing the district of northern Lancaster, because it was separated in the 1980s. Republicans remain in the most part in the 50-town chamber, 27–23.
