US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared in Philadelphia on Sunday morning to take part in the Question and Answers session America in one room/Pennsylvania.

The participants were told that a special guest would talk to them, but the crowd was kept in the shadowy until Clinton went to the stage.

For 30 minutes she answered questions about various foreign topics at a meeting aimed at encouraging civic involvement and finding solutions to the most burning challenges of the nation.

Clinton said in the room that he was “intrigued” and “excited” what they did.

“(I have) I hope that it can serve as a model of many difficult problems we face,” said Clinton.

When the questions and answers began, one special question: is the United States “really the highest superpower in the world or are we the best consumers?”

“I think we are still (the highest superpower), but I’m not sure if we will stay,” said Clinton. “Because we are distributing our power in a way that in my opinion is very harmful to our managerial position in the world.”

The was the first lady who was the Secretary of State of the US during the first term of office of President Barack Obama, she was the nominee for the President of the Democratic Party in 2016, losing to Republican Donald Trump.

She did not mention President Trump by name, but she seemed to criticize the foreign policy of his administration.

“I want us to remain with leading superpowers. I want us to remain a leading example of a society that can cooperate, achieve important things together, get along with each other in the partisan line,” said Clinton. “I know that we are now in a great battle in our country, because other people have a completely different view, view of dominance and view of power because of power.”

Clinton argued that if the United States convey to someone else as the “superpower” of the world, he would create a vacuum filled by evil actors and eventually lead to a world that is less safe and sound, less candid and less prosperous.

You enable our work.

However, she said that she was also afraid of whether the United States is already leading, they can also create a sphere of influence to enter other countries and become dominant.

“You know, there are some people, to be honest, they are in favor of China’s control of Asia, allow Russia to control Europe. We will simply stay here,” said Clinton. “It was exactly what was said in the 1930s and did not work very well.”

“I think we have to learn from history,” she added. “Don’t be imprisoned, but learn it.”

Tariffs and Taiwan

Answering questions about America’s foreign policy in Asia, Clinton said that she believed that the United States must explain China that if Taiwan would attack, she would exceed the red line.

“We don’t want a conflict. This would be the last thing we want,” said Clinton. “But Taiwan is one of these lines.”

Not to mention Trump by name, Clinton also criticized the current administration, saying that he believes that the United States does not implement what he thinks is the smartest strategy with Taiwan.

She also blew up Trump’s tariff policy with China. May 12 Trump announced that he had left 145% tariff for Chinese goods up to 30% for 90 days to enable commercial conversations, while China reduced taxes from American products from 125% to 10%, in accordance with Associated Press.

“We are looking at our economy,” said Clinton. “We influence their economy, perhaps not as much as it will ultimately affect our economy.”

Clinton referred to the California port of Long Beach, which is “largely empty” as a sign that the impact of tariffs will be felt in the next few months.

“They didn’t quite dig, so they hurt economically,” she said.

Many Democrats, including Governor Josh Shapiro, loudly against the tariffs that Trump introduced. However, Republicans, including the US Senator in Pennsylvania, Dave McCormick, believe that the tariffs will bring the benefits of American production.

Russian invasion of Ukraine “absolutely against our interests”

By asking if the United States must think about the balance between defense expenses and investing in diplomacy, Clinton said the country needs both.

Trump’s administration efforts aimed at reducing government expenditure through the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) led to such programs USAID that it is cutwhich caused Making democratic legislators.

They also referred to the current war in Ukraine.

“The Russian invasion of Ukraine, a completely aggressive, unpredictable effort to conquer and take over another country, is absolutely contrary to our interests,” said Clinton. “This is contrary to our interests because we do not want to see the award -winning aggression, because you do not know where it will end, and you do not know who will come behind you or the people with whom you are associated or that you are invested.”

During the presidential election in 2024, Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, nominated for the Democratic Party, differed in the way they believe that the United States should deal with the war in Ukraine. Trump ran a campaign End of the war in Ukraine On “day first”, if he is chosen, although Consent at the end of the conflict has not yet been achieved.

Over 150,000 people living Pennsylvania are Ukrainians and Ukrainian Americansmaking Keystone State status for the second largest population in the country.

Clinton admitted that part of the challenge is the end of the conflict after its beginning and referred to how the administration of President Bill Clinton played a role in the end of conflicts in Northern Ireland and the Balkans.

“You have to look at various power levers and use them properly,” said Clinton. “Where does diplomacy work? Where does military strength play? And what can we do to promote our values, working with people who want to have freedom and democracy.”

“Cyber security is clearly one of our greatest threats”

When asked about the expenditure on defense, Clinton warned that cyber security is “clearly one of our greatest threats” that the United States faces. She said that she believed that deterrence is what is now needed in the world, arguing that she would send a message to the United States opponents.

“We know that our opponents, primarily Russia and China, have the ability to mutilate our infrastructure,” said Clinton. “We have the ability to mutilate our infrastructure.”

“We must be better prepared and better able to stop them than they can hurt us,” she added.

Sunday was the last day of the meeting at the Sheraton Hotel at the Center City. Several officials selected in Pennsylvania took part in a multi -day conference, including GOV. ShapiroHouse Marshal Joanna McClinton (D-D-Liladelphia) and state senator Joe Picozzi (R-Hiladelphia).
