1. It seems that the Supreme Court is ready to limit the deadlines for postal voting

“The Supreme Court has shown openness to blocking Mississippi’s law allowing absentee ballots to be accepted and counted after Election Day – a ruling that could upend mail-in voting across the country ahead of the midterms.

2. ‘Tear down the entire system’: Pennsylvania Republicans want their own SAVE act

“Republicans in Harrisburg have their own version of voter ID. It’s not as stringent and doesn’t get as much attention. But the state Representative Chris Gebhardt stated that voters want some change.

“I said I think we have to tear down the whole system and rebuild it,” Gebhard said. “I think it’s defective.” | abc27

We ran the numbers. “Since the 2024 election, four states – all Republican-controlled – have changed their election laws to no longer accept absentee ballots arriving after Election Day. And while 14 states and Washington, D.C. continue to do so, as long as those ballots are mailed before Election Day, more of them could be rejected in future elections due to recent changes in U.S. Postal Service procedures. Lawmakers are proposing a bill to give the state additional oversight of water exploit at the recent data center. “State lawmakers introduced a bill Monday that would require data center developers to submit reports to the commonwealth on expected water use before they begin operations.
