Groups are pressuring Bradford to introduce bills to protect girls’ sports in return for a vote

Moms for Liberty, Keystone City Hall and Conservative voice they run a full court press to convince Pennsylvania House Majority Leader Matt Bradford so that bills protecting girls’ sports can be brought to a vote by the full House.

The state Senate approved a bill in May to exclude biological males from girls’ and women’s sports, but it stalled in the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives. Many people believe that in sports, men have a physical advantage over women and that they have an unfair advantage.

The University of Pennsylvania recently reversed course to comply with Trump’s Title IX provisions, undoing recent victories biological men who competed in women’s sports.

McGinley, a former Methacton School Board candidate and hairdresser, said the House should take up these bills (SB9, HB1849, HB158) to protect girls’ sports rather than leaving the issue to individual school boards.

“It’s not going away,” McGinley said. “I have no intention of leaving.”

Signing in Wide + Freedom, Nicole Prusman, education advocate and legislative chairwoman of Moms for Liberty AP noted that 80 percent of Pennsylvanians support bills providing opportunities for girls to play sports.

Neither Bradford nor his spokesman responded to multiple requests for comment.
