This is official now.
Pennsylvania Republican Party awarded its support State Treasurer Stacy Garrity as his candidate for the governor.
Support, which was not unanimous through voice voting, comes from the vote of the full republican body of the State Committee at a meeting of the Fall of the State Group Committee on Saturday at State College.
“I am deeply honored that I can receive the support of the Pennsylvania Republican party. This vote of confidence means a key moment in our campaign to restore mighty, conservative leadership in the whole nation. With the support of our State Party and Republicans from Pennsylvania, we will continue to build a mighty, uneven campaign, dedicated to real results: restoration fiscal, creating possibilities, creating possibilities for hardwis.
Bradford also launched Salvo from the current office holder – Governor Josh Shapiro.
“In Harrisburg there is no more dangerous place than standing between Josh Shapiro and the camera or liberal donor, handing him a check,” she said. “I do not run for the governor as a stepping stone for something bigger. I apply for the governor of Pennsylvania to serve you. I know what it means to serve. I know what it means to sacrifice and I know what it means to solve difficult problems affecting the lives of Pennsylvania families.”
“Stacy Garrity represents the best of Pennsylvania,” said the chairman of PA GOP Greg Rothman. “He is a proven leader with a record of services, honesty and results. As a state treasurer, Stacy fights for the protection of taxpayers, liability to Harrisburg and ensuring fiscal liability. We are proud of supporting her campaign for the governor and we are sure that he will lead Pennsylvania with the same sacrifice, which she showed throughout her career in public service, private and military sectors.”
Garrita has already assured the support of outstanding state republicans, including former Tom Corbett Governor AND Reps. Lloyd Smucker (R-11) I Glenn Thompson (R-15).
Democrats from Pennsylvania counted Rothman’s view.
“Stacy Garrity has a long history of views and positions that are wrong in Pennsylvania,” said the chairman of Pa Demes Eugene Depasquale. “Garrites included and celebrated a federal bill that would eliminate health care for 310,000 Pennsylvanians and raise costs for many others, can cause at least 25 rural hospitals and kill over 20,000 energy places-all to grant the tax reductions of billionaires. ROE against Wade and even the sale of anti -olical goods. And she co -organized the rally to throw away Pennsylvania’s voices and repeal the election results in 2020. “
