The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) sent word that it would organize Rep. Scott Perry (R-10) feet to the fire with the release of a recent digital film.
The DCCC hopes to remind voters “of Scott Perry’s dangerous extremism and the chaos he is causing in Congress.” The video reminds viewers that at the request of the former president Donald Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson appointed Perry to the House Intelligence Committee despite the fact that Perry was actively under investigation by the FBI for his involvement in trying to overturn the 2020 election.
The release of the video coincides with Trump’s visit to the Pennsylvania capital, Harrisburg, on Wednesday.
“Scott Perry has forgotten the voters of Pennsylvania to pursue a chaotic, extreme, and dysfunctional agenda in Congress,” a DCCC spokesman said. Aidan Johnson“Perry voters elected him to fight for their interests, but now he’s just another creature from the swamp.”
Perry is challenged by former TV journalist Janelle Stelsonwho outrebounded Perry 2 to 1 in the second quarter.
