Bernie Sanders Rally in Philly: time, location, road closure

United States Bern Sanders Header of the May Rally in Philadelphia on Thursday, when in Pennsylvania brings his nationwide fight with President Donald Trump’s program.

Sanders, an independent Vermont, who is to speak at the event “for employees, not billionaires”, organized by the AFL-CIO chapter in Philadelphia, which will start around 16:00 on Thursday outside the north side of the town hall.

“This rally is to really show when the Labor Party, immigration groups and the community are standing together, we are a force that cannot be divided. Even Bernie Sanders joins us,” said spokeswoman of the AFL Filadelphia Council Maggie Mullooly. “We are fighting for the future that works for employees, not billionaires.”

Thursday rally and march appear among the economic uncertainty caused by Trump, outside the approach to the imported tariffs from imported goods-who shocked global markets and sent economic certainty.

On Wednesday, the Trade Department published data that showed that the American economy shrunk at a rate of 0.3% in the first quarter of 2025, a dramatic reversal of a 2.4% growth in the fourth quarter of 2024, when President Joe Biden was still bid.

Sanders, often attached by rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Corteza (D., NY) attracted enormous crowds in Republican claims when he criticizes the Trump program and a system, which, he claims, benefits for the wealthy at the expense of the working class.

“People are fighting all over the country every day, just to survive” Sanders told supporters in Folsom, California last month. “Brothers and sisters, in the richest country in the history of the world, we can do much better!”

While Sanders chose Philadelphia May rallies are to take place throughout the country I region, including events in Trenton, ABINGTON Township, Ardmore, Media and Glassboro
