When the mayor of CHELELLE L. Parker ran to the mayor in 2023, most of her opponents in a crowded democratic basis collected and spent more money than she. She often said that it made it weaker.
But in her first year of office, Parker showed that it is a powerful collection of funds, building a gigantic political war chest a few years before the theoretical race to re -election and transferring thousands of Democrats.
This is the case according to reports on financing campaigns submitted on Friday, which show that Parker collected $ 1.4 million on his political arm last year, which is a significant sum for the sitting mayor in the first year of office. This is more than twice as much as mayor Jim Kenney in 2016, his first year after taking office, and almost as much as Parker raised his campaign before the basic basis of Uber 2023.
Increasing shows how the democratic base of the city donors connected around Parker – including the main donors who once contributed to its opponents – and how she enjoyed further support from supporters of organized workforce. Applications also show that Parker has spent significant amounts on events and consultants, and also limit gigantic controls of the Democratic Party before last year’s elections.
Parker said in a statement that she was proud of collecting funds, saying that her colleagues “are related to the belief that Philadelphia is on the right path.”
“These numbers establish CHERELLLE PARKER political leadership,” said Arena Platt, which manages its political activity, “both by collecting funds through large and small and as the main founder of state and local democratic parties during key choices.”
Support from construction transactions and main donors
The politically influential Council for Trades & Construction Philadelphia Building Rades played a key role in the Parker 2023 win, pouring cash to Super Pac to support its offer.
Last year, Parker remained a close transaction ally, in favor of the proposed Arena 76ers in the city center, which was politically arduous, but the main priority for construction associations, which perceived the project as a benefit for creating jobs.

Throughout the year, she recorded significant financial support for the group.
Ten relationships with the building industries gave Parker a total of USD 230,000 last year, which is over half of the dollars collected from the Political Action Committees. The international brotherhood of LOCAL 98 electrical workers, a long -term political slag and the best supporter of the Arena project, gave Parker $ 45,000.
The Robotnik District Council, led by Building Trades, Ryan Boyer, brought USD 35,000. Parker also made gigantic inspections from compounds representing hydraulics and sprinkler fitters.
Last year, she was supported by groups that once increased their opponents, including the Federation of Philadelphia teachers, which gave Parker to USD 10,000 in November. PFT was the best supporter of the former city council of Helen Gym, who took third place in Democratic Primary.
Some of the best individual donors of Parker campaigns belong to the known democratic benefactors of the city.
Her main donor was Joseph Neubauer, former general director of Aramark and head of Neubauer Family Foundation, who in November gave Parker $ 45,000 and sat in the transition committee.
Neubauer contributed to the main campaign of Parker in 2023, giving the maximum amount allowed in accordance with the regulations regarding the financing of the campaign – and also supported two of its opponents: the former controller of the city of Rebecca Rhynhart, which took second place, and businessman Jeff Brown, who took fifth place .
The second largest collaborator of Parker was Venture Capital Richard, who donated the mayor $ 33,500 through several contributions last year. The unclear, who was arguing the Super Pac, who supported the Rhynhart campaign, is today a co -chairman of the city of tax reform.

Some of the biggest expenses of the Parker campaign were checks for other democrats.

The contribution to state and urban events was particularly large, considering that Parker herself was not in voting last year and it will not be only in 2027. They also found reports before the November elections that local democrats, including agents close to Parker, were awakening Fears of the effectiveness of the campaign of the Kamali Harris vice president in Pennsylvania.
Senator of State Sharif Street, chairman of the State Democratic Party, praised Parker’s contribution to the state party in a statement, saying that the mayor “established last year as one of the leaders in the city and in the whole condition, responding to the call and going to the call and going above all to aid the democratic party. “
Campaign financing reports show that Parker’s campaign has spent money to earn money, paying the RittenHouse Political Partners $ 153,000 consulting company during the year.
She also spent another 357,000 $ on events, including fundraisers, almost $ 100,000 for renting Fillmore Filadelphia for an inaugural event and another USD 57,000 for catching live! Casino in southern Philadelphia for her birthday party.
The campaign also paid tens of thousands for meals and other costs – for example, $ 20,000 at Big Bloc Entertainment, an agency that reserves professional musical activities.
Another $ 49,000 went to the costs marked as “journey and meetings”.
This sum includes meals in over 50 restaurants, from East Side Deli Herschel Inside Reading Terminal Market, to the PF Chang meeting in Plymouth and Wildberry Pancakes in Chicago.
There were also shopping in large tickets: USD 11,000 for repetitive visits to Capital Grills, USD 2500 for two trips at Steak $ 48 and USD 1800 at the sow bar. They are all white rotary restaurants on South Broad Street in the shadow of the town hall.
After all these expenses – a total of USD 935,000 – Parker went this year from around USD 720,000 at the bank.
