1. PA Supreme Court again rules that Philadelphia and other counties cannot count undated absentee ballots

“The Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued a ruling Monday reiterating its earlier position that undated or misdated absentee ballots should not be counted in the 2024 election, a blow to the Democratic Party US Senator Bob Casey hopes a recount and legal action will help him overcome a deficit of just over 17,000 votes against the Republican Party Dave McCormick since Monday evening.

The 4-3 ruling, sought by the GOP and opposed by Casey’s campaign, followed actions by election officials in Democratic-controlled counties – including Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery – to count ballots even though the Supreme Court ordered them to exclude these votes at the beginning of the year.
