Trump kicks off the weekend in Pennsylvania with praise for Arnold Palmer’s anatomy

Former President Donald Trump, the GOP presidential nominee, has a packed schedule of events in Pennsylvania this weekend, which began Saturday night with a rally in Latrobe where he approvingly described the anatomy of the tardy golfer Arnold Palmer.

“He’s a guy who was all human,” Trump said of Palmer. “When I was in the shower with the other professionals, they came out and said, ‘Oh my God, this is unbelievable.’”

It was perhaps the most surprising comment the former president made at the event, where after talking about Palmer, a Latrobe native, for about 15 minutes, he returned to talking about familiar topics and grievances. He criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate; blamed President Joe Biden and Harris for inflation and the “crisis” at the southern border and was baffled how SpaceX, whose CEO Elon Musk has recently been a vocal Trump supporter, was able to fly and land the rocket booster during a recent test flight.

Trump joined the rally by several Republican allies, including U.S. Sen. Dan Meuser (R-9th District) and GOP U.S. Senate candidate Dave McCormick. Former Pittsburgh Steelers players Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown appeared on stage before Trump, and Brown mocked Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, calling him a “fake coach” and calling him “Tampon Tim.”

Republicans have criticized Walz for a policy he signed into law last year as part of Minnesota’s budget that requires public schools to provide free menstrual products to all students who need them. Trump falsely claimed this meant that Minnesota schools were forced to place tampons in boys’ bathrooms.

On Sunday, Trump will visit a McDonald’s in Bucks County, where he will reportedly work at a fryer and later hold a town hall in Lancaster – his first town hall in the state since completing town hall in Montgomery County on October 14, oddly enough, while the former president spent half He swayed on stage for hours to the rhythm of songs from his playlist.

Trump is also scheduled to visit Sunday’s Steelers game in Pittsburgh “as a guest of an individual suite,” according to a team spokesman.

Musk will hold a town hall meeting in Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon, and McCormick says he will be in attendance. This is the latest in a string of town halls Musk has planned to support Trump ahead of Pennsylvania’s October 21 voter registration deadline.

Pennsylvania Democrats Planned ‘Tailgate for Kamala’ Counter Program Before Sunday’s Steelers Game planned at 6:00 p.m. And the Democratic National Committee unveiled the billboard on Sunday morning across from the stadium, reading “Trump was a disaster for AP.”

With less than three weeks before the general election, Harris and Trump remain deadlocked. The two have been campaigning vigorously in Pennsylvania in recent weeks. Harris will travel to Chester County on Monday for a “moderated conversation” with former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney. Similar events are planned in Wisconsin and Michigan.

On Wednesday, Harris will participate in a town hall with CNN’s Anderson Cooper in Philadelphia on the day of the canceled debate with Trump.
