“Ex-president Donald Trump made his choice for vice president, choosing Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his vice presidential candidate.
Vance, who was elected to the Senate in 2022, rose to fame as the author of “Hillbilly Elegy,” a memoir about growing up in a working-class family in post-industrial Ohio that was published in 2016.
