Shapiro’s campaign raised $10 million in the first three months of 2026

They say that money doesn’t buy happiness.

Try telling that to the Shapiro For Pennsylvania campaign.

Governor Josh Shapiro the re-election campaign announced that over $10 million was raised in the first three months of 2026. That’s more than 43% of his total 2025 fundraising total of $23.2 million.

The campaign’s statement said the $10 million was “more than double the previous Pennsylvania gubernatorial campaign record for this fundraising period.”

Shapiro entered the New Year with $30 million in cash. The campaign did not disclose its spending from January 1 to March 31.

The announcement follows a Susquehanna Polling & Research poll that showed the governor has a 22-point lead over his likely Republican challenger Stacy Garrity58-36%.

Garrity, the state treasurer, has not yet provided any indication of the total amount of funds raised. Her campaign raised nearly $1.5 million last quarter. The Pennsylvania Department of State requires submission of campaign finance data by Tuesday, April 7.

Shapiro’s catch shows his strength across the Commonwealth and could assist in his quest for a “trifecta” in Pennsylvania – capturing the governor’s mansion and majority control of the House and state Senate. Democrats controlled all three only once in 34 years (1993) – and that lasted only one year.

He also endorsed candidates in three of the most closely watched congressional races in the country – PA-07 (Bob Brooks), PA-08 (Paige Cognetti) and PA-10 (Janelle Stelson) – as Democrats hope to flip control of the US House of Representatives as well.

This all fits into speculation among Democrats and others that Shapiro intends to run for president if he is re-elected.

At a meeting in Erie on Tuesday, he said his sole focus was on leading Pennsylvania.

“So the one thing I’m focused on, the one thing I think everyone should be focused on, is having a statewide referendum in the midterms and having an extraordinary turnout among your state representatives, your state senator, Congress and the governor. I’m on the ballot again this year,” he said. “It’s really, really important that we had a national referendum that would send a clear message that we don’t like what we’re seeing in Washington.”
