1. What is the SAVE Act and what does it mean for you?

2. Should AP employees receive automatic raises if their state lawmakers do?

“Pennsylvania lawmakers have spent years setting their wages to grow on autopilot, under a law that ensures their wages keep pace with the rising cost of living.

On the other hand, the lowest-paid voters have no such guarantees, and the commonwealth’s minimum wage has remained at $7.25 an hour since the federal government last changed it in 2009.

3. Election officials decry costs imposed on states under the SAVE America voting act

“The voting change measure that the U.S. Senate began debating Tuesday would create major headaches for underfunded state and local officials without significantly stopping fraud, according to voting rights advocates and election officials.

The so-called SAVE America Act, which President Donald Trump has been pushing relentlessly, would create chaos among state and local election administrators by immediately imposing several modern requirements without increasing funding.” | News from the US

5. Hotter than a gun. Memories of the team manager’s huge shooting night

“Twenty years ago, a high school basketball coach talked his team’s manager into playing the last four minutes. The kid had never played a minute of competitive basketball in his life. He scored 20 points.

Jason McElwain won this year’s ESPY Award for Best Sports Moment, beating out some of the biggest names in professional sports. He is now 36 years senior. He works at a local supermarket, coaches basketball, has run 17 marathons, including five Boston Marathons, and travels the country saying he never gives up. | WHAM-TV
