1. Why isn’t the PA attorney general pursuing the Trump lawsuits?

State Attorney General Dave Sunday he defended himself by allowing Governor Josh Shapiro take the reins of lawsuits against the Trump administration, pointing Monday to the unique division of commonwealth powers and suggesting that work might be better for lawyers under the governor’s control.

Sunday’s remarks during a House budget hearing raise an issue obvious to anyone who has read the front page of dozens of recent lawsuits.

In group applications against President Donald Trump administration, the immense majority of the complaining countries are represented by their attorneys general. However, Pennsylvania is attached to the suits by Shapiro, not by Sunday. | PennLive

“Reassessment is a filthy word in some parts of Pennsylvania.

Describes the process of valuing real estate for tax purposes. Some counties in the commonwealth are so opposed to it that their officials haven’t done it since the 1960s.

In fact, more than one-third of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties have not conducted a full property reassessment since 2000, and as a result, approximately 40% of the state has archaic data used for tax purposes.
