It appears Rep. Chris Deluzio increases the distance between himself and potential contenders for his seat in Congress.
The second-term congressman announced that his campaign and leadership PAC raised more than $635,000 in the final three months of 2025. Deluzio received support from more than 10,000 individual donors to his campaign from all 67 counties in the Commonwealth, with an average individual contribution of $37.
In a press release, Deluzio, a Navy veteran who served in the Iraq War, said he does not accept corporate PAC money and relies heavily on the support of grassroots donors and union workers in his fight to continue to represent the citizens of Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District.
“Chris Deluzio’s message of freedom and an economy that works for hard-working Americans resonates with grassroots donors in Pennsylvania and across the country,” a campaign spokesman said Zosia Bluffstone. “The majority of the House of Representatives runs through the Keystone State, and Chris Deluzio is looking to win and gain another term among Western Pennsylvanians this year.”
Currently, no other candidates filed with the FEC to the seat of the 17th congressional district.
He is one of five Democrats in Congress who say yes received inquiries from the Department of Justice after they appeared in a video message urging soldiers not to obey “illegal orders.”
Deluzio defeated Rob Mercury by eight percentage points and achieved better results Kamala Harris who won the district Donald Trump by 5.6 points
