EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, has announced Pennsylvania as a key target of its 2026 State Energy Plan – a bold and animated $15 million plan designed to secure Democratic governing majorities in nine key states by recruiting, investing in and supporting women candidates in the 2026 midterm elections.
“The Republican chaos coming out of Washington is wreaking havoc in Pennsylvania. Democrats need governing powers to push back against the Republican assault on the economy, our health care and our daily lives. EMILY’s List is taking an aggressive approach to building Democratic state power in Pennsylvania with bold candidates who know exactly what’s at stake,” said EMILY’s List President Jessica Mackler.
The State Energy Plan is expected to build on three Democratic state Supreme Court justices winning in 2025 by increasing their majority in the House and gaining control of the state Senate. EMILYs List focuses on building governing power and positioning pro-choice democratic women to make an immediate impact and build for future cycles.
Pennsylvania is one of nine states targeted by EMILYs List to recruit candidates and assist with their campaigns.
To date, EMILY’s List-endorsed candidates in Pennsylvania are:
- Maria ColletPennsylvania Senate (SD-12)
- Lindsey WilliamsPennsylvania Senate (SD-38)
- Katie MuthPennsylvania Senate (SD-44)
- Mandy SteelePennsylvania House (HD-33)
“EMILYs List is proud to support battle-tested pro-choice Democratic leaders in Pennsylvania’s re-election bid,” Mackler said. “Each of them has fought tirelessly to lower costs, expand opportunities for working families and push back against attacks on our health care and our freedoms. Democratic women have played a critical role in our victories even in the most difficult political conditions. We are proud to continue to support these leaders as we work together to strengthen our majority in the House and make critical gains in the state Senate.”
