After successful push Zohran Mamdani to the New York mayor’s office, the campaign company Fight Agency is moving towards its next goal – defeating Pennsylvania Ryan Mackenzie reps (R-07) i Rob Bresnahan (R-08).
The company consists of six people Rebecca Katz, Tommy McDonald, Julian Mulvey, Morris Katz, Eric SternAND Lynette Jackson. The Fight Agency website states that it has helped win over 300 elections in 40 states and has won over 100 awards, including 2022 Campaign of the Year.
Katz was the chief strategist for Senator John Fetterman winning campaign in 2022, and its main ad creator was McDonald. Mulvey was a key member Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) braintrust, and Katz was the company’s leader in the Mamdani campaign.
Stern was Fetterman’s deputy campaign manager while Jackson ran operations.
The group’s website says it “wants to help America’s originals” who are “ready to fight the toughest battles in politics.”
“We’re here to help you create a sharp message and your next great, iconic ad. So if you’re looking for something different, you may have just found it.”
Pennsylvania may be key to Democrats regaining the majority in the House of Representatives. The GOP currently holds a 219-213 majority with three seats open. Democrats are targeting four Keystone State seats held by Mackenzie, Bresnahan and Brian Fitzpatrick reps (PA-01), AND Scott Perry (PA-10). Sweeping all four districts would flip the House unless there are other changes.
The Cook Political Report he currently rates Mackenzie and Perry’s races as risky, while Bresnahan’s race leans toward the Republican Party.
Two of Fight Agency’s newest clients could be Mackenzie’s biggest competitors in the Lehigh Valley and Bresnahan in NEPA – Bob Brooks AND Paige Cognetti.
Brooks, president of the state firefighters union, is a candidate in a crowded Democratic primary in the district that includes Allentown, the state’s third-largest city. He hopes to stand up to Mackenzie, who removed him Zuzanna Dzika by 4,000 votes in 2024
Cognetti won re-election to a second full term as Scranton mayor earlier this month and has already announced her candidacy for the Democratic nomination in hopes of unseating Bresnahan, upsetting the six-term congressman Matt Cartwright last November by a majority of 6,000 votes.
Philadelphia ABC affiliate WPVI covered the recruitment of Brooks and Cognetti, praising Democrats for holding off on landing them.
“The Democrats currently running for Congress in Pennsylvania include a prominent mayor and a state labor leader, creating a buzz within the party about recruiting the candidates it needs ahead of next year’s congressional elections. At stake is a controlling majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.”
Below is a sample of Fight Agency’s work covering Fetterman’s 2022 senatorial campaign.
