HARRISBURG, PA − November 12, 2025 − On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, the Pennsylvania Senate adopted the budget for fiscal year 2025-2026. Senator Patty Kim commented on the newly adopted state budget:
“The budget adopted today is a compromise I supported because it is balanced, has no tax increases, and provides significant investments for our communities and working families.
This budget invests in several of my priorities, including increased funding for our district’s public schools, investments in retaining child care workers to keep preschool teachers, increased support for direct care workers, investments in economic development and jobs, and a up-to-date earned income tax credit for working families – all without a tax boost.
I hope that the spirit of compromise presented today will carry over into next year’s budget so that we do not find ourselves in the same position in 2026.”
