Statement by Senator Kane on the adoption of the 2025-2026 Pennsylvania budget

Harrisburg, PennsylvaniaNovember 12, 2025 − Senator Kane issued the following statement regarding the adoption of Pennsylvania’s 2025-2026 budget:

“After months of delay, I am relieved that Pennsylvania’s 2025-2026 budget has finally passed and is putting Pennsylvanians first.

This budget is a responsible, balanced plan that delivers real results for working families, students and seniors across the Commonwealth. It invests in our schools, protects our most vulnerable neighbors, supports our workforce and strengthens our economy, all without raising taxes.

With this budget, we meet our court-mandated obligation to adequately and equitably fund public education by providing tax relief to nearly one million working Pennsylvanians, increasing support for child care workers and direct caregivers, and investing in food security, public safety and job creation.

I’m glad this standoff is finally over and we can get back to doing what we were sent here to do: aid the people of Pennsylvania. I’m proud that we came together to pass a plan that truly helps those who need us most.”
