Fort Washington, PA. – October 1, 2025 – According to the up-to-date executive order of Shapiro, in order to continue to protect Pennsylvania access to vaccines, Senator Maria Collett, RN (D-12 Montgomery, chairwoman of the Democratic Club) would like to share her comments:
“Take it from a nurse: vaccines save lives.
“Among the chaos and confusion related to the federal recommendations of vaccines, I applaud the activities that Shapiro governor announced today to provide clear, supported learning tips and protect access to the vaccine for every Pennsylvania.
“I am excited that the governor’s ordinance accepts a means that I introduced with the senators of Vincent Hughes and the nickname of Pisciottano to require insurers and Medicaid to cover the approved vaccines. Because political games and unnecessary cost barriers should never stop us from protecting our health and our families.
“You can count on me that I will continue to be on the side of science and inexpensive, available healthcare.”
