As a proud Penn graduate, I call my Alma Mater to stand up for the outrageous attacks of Donald Trump on the academic freedom, refusing to sign Trump’s “compact”. Penn has long been a bastion of freedom of speech of campus and must now meet this story, defending the rules of open academic investigation and free debate, which were the hallmark of this world -class institution.
At a time when institutions in all our nation fall apart in the face of Trump’s attack on our democratic principles, at universities such as Penn, to defend their values ​​and protect their lecturers and students from draconic federal excessive exceeding.
I stand with members of the Faculty and students fighting these illegal attacks on Penna’s academic freedom, and I call on older leaders Penn to appear against this absurd federal exceeding and recommending the basic values ​​of our nation.
