Beth FarnhamA longtime resident of Adams and the champion of progressive causes announced that she would again apply at the 13th place in the Congress District, which they currently occupy Rep. John Joyce (R-13).
If she won the democratic nomination, she would create a rematch of the 2024 competition with Joyce, who saw how to sit in a broad margin.
“Conducting the poviats of Adams, Franklin, Fulton, Bedford, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Mifflin, Juniata, Perry, Cumberland and Somerset gives me great opportunities to meet with voters, hear what is in your hearts and minds, as well as a chance to speak for everyday Americans,” says Farnham.
“This is not only one of the largest geographical districts in Pennsylvania, it is the most beautiful – from Gettysburg to Johnstown, from Altoon to Shippensburg, from the top of Appalachów to the Susquehanna River, there is a rich history, rural culture and stunning views.”
The former Republican, she and her husband, Rob, changed the events in 2015 after the Uprising Donald Trump.
“We are united in mourning because of the erosion of our valuable democracy, anger at those legislators who have power to stop it, but do not fear the threats to us, our loved ones, our neighbors, our jobs, benefits, our rights to our own organs, the right to vote, this higher cost of life, our international reputation and our national security,” she said in the campaign announcement.
“We are also united in our request to be represented by someone who is available, willing to attend your town hall, but also to keep them to respond to phone calls, e -mail and letters to vote in our best interest in the bills in the House of Representatives.”
Farnham continued to criticize Joyce for his ardent support of Trump, noting that he voted against the infrastructure act, the American emergency plan, inflation reduction act, the act on the protection of women’s health and one great pretty bill.
She said that the act would remove health care from 17,273 residents of the district, but also food for 6,626 inhabitants in the next 10 years.
“In other words, Joyce’s representative does not care about us everyday Americans – how could he?”
It is climbing uphill for Farnham or any democratic candidate, because Republicans have a registration advantage from 2.5 to 1 voters in the district.
