Tracy Hunt changes parties to Brian Fitzpatrick

Tracy Hunt, a lawyer of Bucks, who was a Republican until June, announced on Tuesday that he would run in a democratic Primary to question the current Republican representative Brian Fitzpatrick in the 1st Congress District in 2026.

Hunt will be against Bucks Bob Harvie and the inhabitants of Buckingham Township Rob Stickler for the democratic nomination against the Commissioner of Bucks Harvie and the next spring in districtwhich includes Bucks and a diminutive part of Montgomery.

Asked why he changed events, Hunt, 57 years ancient, from New Hope, said on Tuesday: “I was enough. I have more and more frustration with republicans and their direction towards authoritarianism, extremism and receiving white nationalism.

“I don’t identify with this event anymore.”

Hunt, who also teaches business law at Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, said that if he wanted to do something with disappointment at GOP, he would have to do it as a democrat.

“They have a enormous tent,” he said.

Hunt said nothing about his democratic opponents, but he criticized Fitzpatrick for naming himself moderate, but “pushing [President Donald] Trump’s agenda more often than not. “

Fitzpatrick was one of the two Republicans from the house (together with the rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky), who voted against the signature of the national national policy package of the last Trump. Fitzpatrick supported the earlier version of the act, but objected to it after the changes in the US Senate.
