Fetterman shoots back to Inquirer, calling the editors a “strange smear”

During the forum with the Senate equivalent Dave McCormickDemocrat John Fetterman he cried Philadelphia Inquirer Down A recent editorial articleSpeaking, the former Governor of Pa “must seriously take his position” to serve Pennsylvania “or leave”.

Keystone State Senators met during a 30-minute session in Boston as part of Senate project in Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate. The purpose of the series of debates in the Senate is to re -introduce the culture of searching for a common plane and consensus, which was the essence of the Senate since it was understood in 1789.

“It’s just part of this strange – this strange smear,” said Fetterman. “The more types – the media left still have this kind of attack. And this is only part of the smear and it is simply not accurate – it is simply not accurate.”

The editorial article was critical of Fetterman’s achievements, which he showed from February 2023, He missed 18 percent of call votes (174 of 961), as well as meetings of the Committee bypassing and dinner dinners at the party club.

“Being a selected official is associated with public control. If Fetterman cannot bear attention or do his work, he represents in the best interest of the country and almost 13 million inhabitants of Pennsylvania, he should go to the side.”

Fetterman who defeated Mehmet Oz in 2022 for a place earlier by Patomey patHe defended his absence as related to his family.

“If I miss some of these … voices, I earned 90 percent of them and we all know the voices that I missed on Monday. These are travel days,” he said.

“And I have three youthful children and … they are thrown out of procedural voices that they have never been determined if [sic] Were significant. This is the choice I made – he added.

The former mayor of Braddock then tried to turn the tables to his colleagues Bernie Sanders (I-vt.) I. Patty Murray (D-Wash.), Which in recent months left the voices of the Senate. Sanders has traveled national opposition to the country President Donald Trump Agenda, including stops in Philadelphia, Harrisburg and Bethlehem. Murray often traveled northwest of the Pacific to take care of her ailing husband.

“If you want to attack me for it, go ahead,” he said about his attendance record. “But I would like to indicate that Bernie and Senator Murray missed more.”

McCormick defended his democratic counterpart and said that he even contacted Fetterman to ask if he could be publicly supported, noticing that he did not want to cause major political problems.

There was an unchanged cordial tone between the two senators who publicly accepted themselves from winning McCormick Bob Casey in November last year.

McCormick talked about the urgency needed against anti -Semitism, especially after the act of terror in Boulder, Colo., On Sunday.

“This is something that we have to oppose total moral transparency,” said McCormick, referring to university campus, which in his opinion did not do enough to limit anti -Semitic speech.

“And this is something you can’t – you can’t have it both ways. You have to oppose – with complete strength,” said McCormick.

The only time it seemed that there was some featherlight between the couple about the “large, beautiful Trump bill.” Fetterman said he wasn’t because of the upcoming Medicaid cuts. McCormick supports the act due to the reduction of government expenditure and the extension of Trump’s tax plan.

“I do not think that I will ever be able to support Medicaid cutting, and the next thing that is worried is cuts,” said Fetterman, who sits in the agricultural committee.

McCormick said that he was not in favor of “that we are taking Medicaid from people for whom the program has been designed”, but rather reduce its growth by identifying fraud.

“We will vote differently for a” enormous, handsome bill, “said Fetterman. “But this does not make him terrible if he votes for yes. And it does not make you know me, something terrible, if I do not vote for these things … And so it is, this is how democracy works.”
