
Harrisburg, Pa. – Senator Maria Collett (D-12, Montgomery) i Senator Nick Pisciottano (D-45, Allegheny) announced an introduction Pennsylvania protects the right to organization (Pro) On Wednesday, May 13, which strengthened the rights of employees and modernized the State Labor Law. Bill Collett and Pisciottano is a companion HB 1029Introduced by Rep. Dan Williams (D – Chester), Joe Ciresi (D – Montgomery), David Delloso (D – Delaware), Steve Malagari (D – Montgomery) and Jennifer O’Mara (D – Delaware).

The Pro Act includes several key provisions regarding the protection of employees’ rights:
- Establishes clear penalties for incorrect classification of employees and unfair work practices;
- Requires employers to transfer employees’ contact details to future relationships when organizing efforts;
- Implements the improved process of initial collective agreements;
- Protects employees’ rights to continue collective legal activities;
- It creates a novel protection against forced anti -evidence.

The Act also includes significant enforcement mechanisms, including:
- Civil penalties up to USD 50,000 for a violation, doubled for repetitive criminals;
- Liquidated damage to employees who are in the face of discrimination or sedate economic damage;
- Increased mediation and arbitration procedures for contractual negotiations;
- Reinforced remedies for employees facing unfair work practices.
