1. Pennsylvania Senate race ready to wrap up as Casey trails McCormick by less than half a point
“The nationally watched U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania will soon be rerun Senator Bob Casey The Pennsylvania Department of State announced Wednesday that it has not waived the automatic recount.
The Associated Press called the race for Republicans last week Dave McCormickwho narrowly edges Casey, a three-term Democrat, by less than 0.5% over the threshold for an automatic recount.
This will be the eighth time the state’s automatic recount law has been triggered since it was introduced in 2004, and the fourth time an actual recount will take place. The State Department estimated it would cost more than a million state dollars. (Questioner from Philadelphia)
